Viewing Event Record: Chancery, Margaret Brayne vs the Burbages: Richard Hudson deposes

Richard Hudson testifies that the Burbages have spent around £30 more in building and reparations to the Theatre since their previous survey. Hudson testifies that he was one of several in July of 1591 to survey the new building and reparations done to Theatre property, and that in their estimation the cost of this work could have been no less than £240, as is recorded in a memorandum in James Burbage's book. He does not know how much money John Brayne or his widow contributed to the improvements.
